Hi, those who have been trading for several years, if you could go back, what would you have liked to monitor up to nowadays? Or, what monitoring inputs helped you improve drastically?

For me it was a game changing when Al started to publish the daily setups section because since then I had a clear benchmark to know if my reading was correct other than asking him in the forum for a given trade (only one question per day).
Because of that, I highly recommend while learning to read the EMINI chart and compare with Al's. If not, there is no way you can know (for sure) if you are on the right track or completely off.
Best thing that helped me. Get in the chat room. Expect to be Extremely out of place and overwhelmed. Don’t give up. Write everything down that you don’t know or understand. Research it until you know it and can spot it on charts, preferably in real time. It took me 2 years working 16 hours daily through the COVID-19 pandemic. Remember, every thing Dr Brooks says is important.
Don’t be like me and get lazy and look for shortcuts. There are none
Even if you trade Sim don’t gamble trade or Las Vegas trade. Be professional like you trade for God, or your parents or Goldman Sachs. No games
Understand how and when to use the different orders. (HUGE)
Don’t give up. Your chart reading skill will start to expand exponentially.
At this point it’s getting fun! You can’t wait until the next trading day.

I hang on every single word that Dr Brooks says. He has changed my life more than he could ever know. Frequently he says that a trader has no idea how much money you can make when you learn HOW to trade. Yes I am consistently profitable, but I still do dumb stuff on occasion. Very stupid trades. But I practice every day on scaling in, which when done right can increase probability. Also remember that all I do is work on developing my trading business and trading system. No job, No young kids, supportive wife who wants to quit her job and learn trading from me. 2 years of nothing but study and trading. So I should have made rapid progress in my education and I want to continue growing as a trader.
