When swing trading, if you take a strong setup, should you get out on any signal or hold until there is a strong setup in the other direction? For example, if you bought above bar 28 is it better to get out below bar 35 or 52?

The latter!

In this particular case I would have exited below 35, because it is a strong enough setup for the bears if only because it is a second entry at the top of a a TR day. But if for whatever reason you held, then definitely 52L wedge is a great swing short after 46 having closed the body gap (so trend was over) and you have to exit there.

One side note: please, when asking, if you reference a bar number, jot it down in the attached picture so we don't have to open our trading platform to be able to know what bar you are really referring to.
