This is about Al's mentioning overnight positions best attained with options. I do use SPY spreads but recently I was looking at options on MES(ES). I am wondering about the pros and cons of using options on futures.

I talk about this occasionally. There is no difference. Both have huge volume and are tightly arbitraged to one another.
Since I also trade stocks and options on stocks, I am comfortable trading SPY and QQQ options. Also, I want as few moving parts as possible in what I do. Adding options on ES futures is adding another moving part. Because there is no difference from a trading perspective, but there is a difference from an emotional perspective, I usually only trade options in stocks and ETFs and rarely in the Emini.

Hi Sebastian, Richard said it should be on the bonus videos by end of this month.
If you live in the US then futures options offer better tax treatment than SPY options.
