Hi all,
I wanted to show you a quick and easy way to practice trading, that is not paper or demo trading. Instead, you can use old charts to simulate trading. The big advantage is that you can scroll forward as fast as you want, so you won't have to wait hours or days before knowing, if a trade would have been profitable (as is the case with paper or demo trading).
Now, of course you could just scroll through an old chart and think about the trades you would have taken. But this approach is lacking. It would be much better to have a simulated account where you can actually take "real" trades and see your P/L. Recently, I discovered a free tool for tradingview that allows exactly this. Using the replay option in tradingview, you can simulate any market and any timeframe, while also watching your account equity grow or trickle away. The best thing is, that it is completely free (other market simulators cost around 50$/month).

I've been using this tool for a while now and it is really helping me. Not only can I practice on any market at any time but it greatly improves my general pattern recognition, as I'm basically reviewing years worth of trading. I like to draw everything into the chart, just as I would do in real life. I'm sure this could be a valuable tool for all beginners and intermediate traders. You should certainly give it a try! Feel free to contact me if you should run into technical difficulties along the way!
Here's how this setup looks like:
