What Trading hours do you display on your chart for FTSE100 and Dax? These assets started overnight trading last year.
There are several options and I seem to flip my choice on a daily basis.
Start Times:
- Day Session hours: 0800 GMT
- Old Pre-Market: 0700 GMT
- New Pre-Market: 0100 GMT
End Times:
- Day Session Close: 1630 GMT
- Post Market Close: 2100 GMT
I've ruled out the new Pre-market hours (stating at 1am), I think its more helpful to ignore the Asian session and treat it as a Gap.
I think the Old Pre-Market hours are helpful as it gives an indication of the direction of the opening move.
I keep coming back to 0700-16:30. I find that the Moving average is respected more and gaps from the 16:30 act as support often days later.
