I have studied the course and have looked over chart patterns is there anyone that would consider talking with my I never know how long to hold a trade any advice would be appreciated

Why don't you post here trades so we can discuss them? More than that, if you trade the emini (highly recommended), why don't you ask him in the other website (BPA) directly?
Here are a few things that could help in giving a direction.
Wait until a potential reversal comes and exit in part or full.
1. A a wedge
2. Measured Move
3. Climax
4. Support or Resistance from previous days.
I don't know if this will help you, but personally, I always ask myself, if I would enter in the opposite direction before closing a trade (amongst other things). For example, I might be long, I look at the chart. Would I go short? If not, I will probably hold onto the trade for some more time. Same is true when I'm short and looking to exit.
