I feel honesty is the best policy, but I'm not sure how to tell this gal I'm dating that I trade stocks because of the gambling stigma.

Whisper it in her ear -- "Babe, I buy and sell the S&P 500 E-Mini futures contract on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. My liquidity lubricates the financial gears of the modern economy."
She'll be floored. Just make sure her father never finds out it's 1 MES.

Hahaha, okay, that was funny.
In all seriousness, I would go back to what Al often says. He views himself as an investor; however, instead of months/years, his time frame is hours and minutes.
Also, I believe the more people see your dedication to something such as trading, the more people will begin to respect what you do or are trying to achieve.
As far as gambling stigma goes, you have to view it as this being no different than investing in a business or starting your own business. There is a risk, reward, and probability of an outcome. You have to see it all as the same (which is what Al does), and the more you do that, the more people will understand your viewpoint.
What a great response! This wisdom is definitely going into my playbook. Thank you!
lol, Thanks for the laugh:)
