Will the space in an exhaustive gap (in bull trend) always close? This is for a stock not futures contracts

A gap can be an exhaustion gap and a measuring gap.
If the gap closes then it becomes an exhaustion gap. If not, a measuring gap.
So, by definition, an exhaustion gap will close.
