Hello everyone.
I'm about 50% done with BTC and wanted to have an insight into HOW does trading BPA look like as a day trader. I am projecting into the future, trying to be honest and grounded in terms of the work it will take, how much paper trading I need to do, and how long might it take for me to start becoming consistently profitable.
I found a few videos on Al's YouTube Channel, and a few here and there in the BTC site.
Is there an archive from previous videos to download? Are they free?
I'm nowhere near in a place to subscribe to the current ones as I might not be able to keep up with them, so I was looking for old material I can consistently study at my own time.
Many thanks!
Videos from 2015 and earlier are the better value for money, as they are $200 for the whole year. The more recent the videos, the higher the price.
Once you start observing yourself making the same conclusions as Al in the trading room videos (preferably BEFORE Al makes his conclusions), you can start trading. No need to paper trade. Just trade one micro contract. Those should be small enough for anybody.
Thanks, P B.
I live in New Zealand, so Emini is not an option due to time zone. I don't know if there's an equivalent on the HK or Japan markets, so I was planning on starting with Forex.
I know Al doesn't recommend paper trading since it's easier to lie to ourselves and touch the results. I've also heard several traders on these forums talking about starting with an amount of capital we wouldn't mind losing (aka the price of learning). I do resonate with these ideas, as they can shorten the time of our learning curve (potentially higher initial "cost", but better ROI).
Where can I find the Video Archive to purchase?
Many thanks,
Excellent - thanks.
The BPA & BTC sites have much more content than meets the eye! Since I started watching the Trading View videos there are so many "aha" moments and penny drops. Seeing the market alive and moving, and Al's bar-by-bar explanation as the market develops is truly priceless.
I am wondering if my time would be best invested in reading Al's book trilogy, or if I should focus on the videos. Of course, the more I add the better, but I am conscious that everything takes time and I want to find the most efficient way to get started with trading.
Thank you again, P B.

Al answers that question in the following short video:
Should I buy the books or trading course (videos)?
There is also an extended discussion on topic under "Frequently Asked Questions" forum.
Most traders find learning from videos easier but if you are a book-lover and good with complex text, books could work fine.
Thank you very much for the info 😉
