Hello Ninjatraders,
As many are aware, the default Ninjatrader time periods for CME don't match with Al Brooks' 81 bars timeframe so when looking at Ninja daily chart it doesn't match what Al uses. The reason is:
CME US Index Futures ETH template goes 5pm - 4pm EST
CME US Index Futures RTH template goes 8:30a - 4pm EST
But we need 9:30am - 4:15p EST for standard BPA 81 bars chart.
The fix is to create our own time template as follows:
1. In Tools -> Trading Hours copy some template to make your own for modification:
2. Adjust the start and end times to match market open and close to get 81 bars, matching your timezone:
3. On your chart create a 1440 minute time period (this represents one day):
4. Set your chart's trading hours to your newly created template:
Now you can predict the markets like Al Brooks!
