Hi all,
I have checked that Brad's charts on Tradestation differ from those of Tradingview that show the continuous contract for the Emini (ES1!). If you switch to the current contract (June) on Tradingview (ESM2023) then you get the same view as Brad/Tradestation (I am talking about daily / 24 hour chart, RTH), but only for the months corresponding to the contract ESM2023.
As you can see this difference can be critical, since we have a HH DT in ESM2023/Tradestation, but we have LH DT in ES1! (continuous/Tradingview)
Does anyone know some kind of workaround for this on Tradingview, please?
Thanks in advance for your time
Kind regards
Rafael
May have something to do with when continuous contracts are rolled over on these two different platforms.
Thanks for your answer, but I would need a workaround to get the data in tradingview like Tradestation does
I'm not entirely sure you can change contract rollover logic in TravingView. At least this blog post gives me the impression that it is fixed:
Hi, you are on the right direction, but still, I do not find a solution that allows us to trade with the right information on the charts, the same information that big players and computers are using. There are some schools of thought that say you should always use the price that the current contract shows (with the problem that you have a very limited view of the past). But I don't think Al Brooks has stated anything about that.
Thank you
