I would like some clarity about engulfing candles. If a candle goes below the previous candle is it considered an engulfing candle even if the highs are the same so it’s a micro double top? Or does the top of the candle also has to be higher than the previous one?

Al calls them outside bars.
Even if one end of the bar is equal with the previous bar.

Should be identical as a minimum or outside from both top and bottom of the previous bar.
