This isn't really a question, but since there is no other way of posting in the forum, so doing it here.
Just wanted to give my feedback that showing new slides of the latest update in a separate section (apart from including them in the encyclopedia) is a great idea, this way we can just see the newly updated slides (if we have already seen the old ones). I wanted something like this because otherwise it was a chore trying to find which slides are the new updated ones..
So thank you 🙂
Hi Shubh,
Happy to hear you like the new 'Latest Slides' presentation. Certainly easy to review, but please do not ask for slide numbers to be the same (if you get my meaning) as that is a lot more work. 🙂
I have also been asked by another to keep each month's copy available each month, rather than replacing say June's file with July updates. However, we already have so many slides online in the Encyclopedia, adding another series of presentations would be overkill.
Maybe we could just keep the last 2 months copies? Or 3 months max?
Let me know what you (and all others out there) think.
PS.
Nope, no need for the slide numbers, they are very easy to find in the encyclopedia, as the slide title gives away in which section the slide can be found, after that all one needs to do is to search for the title of the new slide.
I personally do not need past updates to be kept, as you said, it would be overkill. May be you could add a text box for people to give their email ID if they want to be notified when the Encyclopedia is updated. That way when the encyclopedia is updated they get an email. They will have at least a month then to check out the new updates (because next update would take at least one month, if not more).
I think it would also be good from the business perspective, because if those people who have not yet purchased the Encyclopedia give their email ID, they would come to know how (frequently and comprehensively) updated the encyclopedia is 🙂
