Video 10A Al is showing Gaps. I have watched this video multiple times but cannot determine at all what a GAP is? I'll tell you I feel like an idiot! The first bar he shows he says 'Want to see the Close of a BAR below the LOW of a prior Bar.
The screenshot is attached and it shows a highlighted area in blue. The close of the bar he is pointing at a point much lower than the blue highlighted area. It should be much further down so why is just this area highlighted in blue? The blue area is what exists above the open of the next bar?!?
He then points out on the far left one which is actually highlighted correctly and says 'The close of this bar below the low of that bar'. The highlighting for that GAP is the only one which appears correct?>!
Help
In this case the gap is the distance between 1 and 2 / 3 and 4 / 5 and 6.
If for instance, 2 was touching 1 then there would be no gap / no blue area.
There is no blue area where I drew the red box because the following candle (pink) filled that gap.
Replied to the same question at BPA Chat Telegram group chat.
A classic bear micro gap begins with three bars. The low of first bar is above the high of last bar and the space in between is a body. As price action progresses these gaps can expand and contract (tested) until they eventually close.
Another thread on gaps is currently happening here: https://www.brookstradingcourse.com/support-forum/11-gaps/11c-slide-4-microgaps-question/#post-5466
Hope that helped!
Cheers,
