Dear PA Traders, Kindly confirm my understanding with respect to signal bars and their correlation to overall context. Please refer to picture below from slide no. 10 of aforesaid video. Thanks for your help. A
Red arrow: The bar you are pointing out is the entry bar (EB), not the signal bar (SB) which is the previous one. But you are right, the context is a tigth channel up so most likely any reversal will become a PB and the trend will continue up, and you can buy above the bull doji or wait for another bull bar.
First green arrow: This is a good SB and good context (DB and HL). A bar does not become a SB depending on the follow-thru. It is anyway a SB tho it can trigger or not, and if it triggers it can be a succesful trade (good FT) or fail. You can buy above this bull bar for a swing up.
Second green arrow: Again the SB is the previous bar, you are pointing to the EB even tho you can also buy it because it is a bull bar closing on the high in a bull trend.
So, to summarize, the context does not tell you what bars are signals or entry bars, you catalogue them independently of it, but what the context gives you is a probability for theses signals to succeed or fail depending on where in the MKT cycle they occur.
