It seems that forex has a limited number of contracts to trade, and everyone is watching them. But if you trade individual stocks based on RVOL and maybe gap-ups, is there an advantage because you don't have every seasoned trader focused on every gapping stock? On the other hand, it seems much more comfortable to just trade something like the emini/micro mini or even ES, because you can focus more on your trade management instead of constantly finding the high volatility stocks of the day. Thoughts?
ES would be the best if you can cause the Al Brooks and Co have the EOD review so to speak ... me thinks 🫡
I'm sorry if this is not relevant but I can't find where I should go to post my own questions so was wondering if maybe you could help me? In one of al's books he says something of a spike lasting several bars what does he mean by this?
Spikes are breakouts which are micro channels, micro in a sense that each new bar doesn't break below if it's a bull spike or brake above (in the bear spike) ... several bars without breaking below/above that's a strong breakout on the higher timeframe = means not to counter trend trade.
Post a chart and the area in question so we could add more to the discussion ..
I understand now, in my head I was thinking for some reason a spike has to be one big bar so saying a big bar needs to last several bars confused me.
Ty so much for the help 😊
