My e-mail address keeps flashing on the screen as I'm watching the course. Every few seconds it pop up, then disappears, then re-appears in a different portion of the viewing area. Very distracting and it did not do this yesterday. Anyone else having this issue?
Sorry guys, yes, we implemented the email address overlay on course videos to discourage piracy. Fighting pirates is an ongoing and expensive game. This overlay should stop many.
I set a low opacity gray text color to be less intrusive with currently 10 seconds on, 5 seconds off. Testing myself I did adapt to it quite quickly. We can try different timing but not possible to give a slow movement on screen which may have worked better?
Thoughts all?
It was a bit distracting(although fun!) when the text popped up in red, yesterday. The current text is alright. I have to look for it to notice it, so it is fine for me.
Although, you say this is to prevent piracy but if someone pauses the video to take a screenshot, the text disappears so not sure how effective it will actually be.

Aims to discourage screen capturing of complete video itself, so single frames not an issue.

Ok All. Email address overlay now removed from all videos. Requested feedback from today's mailing list, plus here and Discord have enough justification to remove feature. 🙂

Thank you for removing the e-mail overlay. I'm not a computer expert, so make of these comments as you will...
1) I'm pretty sure the pirates would have no issues with creating a burner e-mail if necessary to steal the course.
2) Crooks will always out-work the casual subscriber. They smuggle video cameras into movie theatres, so re-recording the course off of a computer screen if necessary would be no issue for them.
2) That said, given how long the course has been out there, I question whether their focus is still on how to steal it? If it's available on the dark web, wouldn't they be more focused on how to create fake websites and/or how to charge for illegal downloads?
Just a suggestion, but to help retain the value of the brand, you may consider making more of the site features and discord for paid members only. That way, even if someone got the course for free, they can't interact or even read Q&A from other members unless they pony up. (You could have free samples like the "How to Trade Price Action Manual" where half is free and half is for members only.) I can't imagine anyone really serious about studying Al's work is going to steal the course, and those that do won't get too far on their own.
Anyway, just trying to brainstorm a little as you've stated before in a previous thread how bad the piracy is.
