Al often mentions when something like a final flag is setting up because it's "late in a bull trend".
I'm unsure of how to determine when it's late in a bull trend. I'm sure as some point, in the hundreds of hours of videos he's mentioned it, i'm just not having any luck finding it so i was helping you gentlemen could help explain.
I'm sure "late in a bulltrend" is all relative to the timeframe you're looking at it on, correct? Since Al's videos are mainly geared towards trading the 5 minute chart we'll just stick to that.
What do ya'll consider late in a bull trend to be and what kind of clues help you determine this?
The best that i've got is maybe 3 legs up. What other indications can i use? Can you go simply based off of time? Lets say it's a trend from the open bull trend day, regardless of how many legs there are, we'll just say its 2 oclock so could we say it's late in a bull trend?
Hi Chris,
Just recently was this exact question here: https://www.brookstradingcourse.com/support-forum/postid/6481/
In 11A Al says late in a trend is 10-20 bars, but then in 15E, 21B, 23A, 29A, 29C, 39B, and 40E he says it's 20+ bars
