Why does Al reffer to highlighted bear leg as gap in between 1st bar and 3rd bar, even though 2nd bar wick went above low of bar 1? It is probably what he reffer to as negative gap ?
Hi Jure,
The rule on the slide only asks to consider the bar before and the bar after and to check that they don't overlap, so it qualifies as micro: the low of bar 1 isn't overlapping with the high of bar 3. A negative gap would be if the upper tail of 3 high went above the low of bar 1.
So in this example even though the 2nd bar wicked up through low of 1st, you would consider it as gap?

Here another version - still stands true but more added and may look convoluted none the less
Hi Jure,
Here are some more examples from our bot that finds gaps. Being able to see these adds a lot of useful information about the strength of a move.
