I have been trading the last few months and managed to drawdown a sizable account by 23%. I feel pretty bad about it as I wasn't keeping track of the small losses like have. I just purchased the course and hope to turn the corner on this losing streak. Im pretty upset about it and I'm feeling like I need to make it all back and that's not a good start. Its easy to lose the sight of the value when trading on margin as it almost seems like monopoly money. I have had FOMO and this feeling I have to be in a trade at all times. Trading 200 plus times a day. racked up $2500 in fees on my futures account. I literally have completely lost sight of the goal which is to make money. Just bought the courses and hopefully I can turn the corner on this losing streak.
That's a step in the right direction. A change in mindset could be helpful, for example, focus on learning for an entire year before making any new trade. I know it sounds B.S. but let's be real, 1 year of studying is the minimum to gain the required skills to make it in this business.
Or at least trade on sim. I think most who made it would agree that trading is a long game, most give up before they make it. It could take from 3 to 10 years.
