Hi,
In slide 13 of Video 12A, Al mentions that "all trends begin with a BO."
But isn't it possible that from a TR, the market gradually evolves into a Trend Channel? And then maybe later on is followed by some other phase of the market cycle.
In other words: can the usual order (BO->Tight Channel->Broad Channel->TR), be mixed up?

It is definitely mixed because the MKT is fractal and there are nested patterns! If you have an example chart where you saw a move that started with no apparent BO, post it and we can discuss it.

Quite normal for a trend to transition into a TR and then Trend Channel, but you will find a breakout (above TR for example) to start channel. The fact it then pulls back, say 2 legs to a High2 (or Low 2 for bear) and then resumes trend is fine.
We need to be creative and flexible for sure. The breakout can be a breakout of anything. 😎
