This post does not address the validity of the points made re HFT, but the math looks wrong. The math for a penny earned for each of 5.5 millions trades would be
5,500,000 x .01 = $55,000, not $5.5 million.

Thanks Mark,
Yes, your math is certainly correct! One US penny is 1/100 of a US dollar.
I will follow up with Al, as it needs new audio as well as text fix, and get it replaced asap.

Thanks!
One additional comment - I'm a newbie to the course and the site, so maybe this has been mentioned before: I find the colored dot cursor is often hard to follow - especially when it travels to a black candle, or when it moves far and fast across the screen, e.g. comparing price action. Something larger would be easier to follow. I suppose this can't be changed retroactively for existing videos, but may be something to consider in future productions? Thanks for listening. I've read "bar by bar" (twice so far) and I love Al's approach to the market, but even more his integrity and generosity in sharing his knowledge.

Hi Mark,
I have updated slide 30 of the video, as quoted math failed to mention the 100 shares the formula applied to.
Ref laser pointer, yes, it is a problem on many videos. I have edited some to improve where really needed, but sadly not practical to reproduce all such videos given the enormous editing or re-recording time needed. Hopefully you will get into videos Ok.
Well done - having read the 'Bar-by-Bar' book twice you certainly have more than enough focus to succeed. Such a hard read. The video course will certainly enhance your understanding and skills significantly.

Thanks for hard work, Richard.
Yes, the video course goes a long way to overcoming the shortcomings of a book format. Looking forward to the remaining videos.
