OK, the majority have voted for default OFF subtitles. This will be implemented in stages for all videos before end of this month, July. Thanks.
Just a quick request for feedback. As noted in last weekend’s mailing list email, we are changing the video player bar to be visible before video starts. This allows traders to adjust volume, speed, and subtitles before starting video.
We also said that along with change, the default for subtitles to be ON would be changed to OFF. Anyone wanting subtitles can simply select them from the player bar [CC] control.
BUT, is this what the majority want? We have started making the change to videos 42A onwards, and plan to modify all videos before month end.
Below is a simple survey for you to specify your preference for the default ON or OFF for subtitles on course videos. Do please take a few seconds to give us your choice. The majority choice by next Monday 22nd July will rule, and all videos will then be set up accordingly (except free sample videos which will be set for subtitles ON to highlight feature).
